Momiala Kamahele (2012), is a Kumu Hula (master hula teacher and practitioner) and an Assistant professor of Hawaiian Studies at Leeward Community College in Hawai‘i. Although academically trained as a western historian, the Hawaiian culture remains the core of her perspective and analyses.
